AH, the good old beeb. The TV tax we pay in the UK for an ‘unbiased' service with no agendas.
Well interestingly they have to produce figures every year about salaries, so we can see who gets what and how well paid that exceptional talent is.
In 2023-24, the BBC collected £3.66 billion from 23.9 million TV licences, 500,000 fewer licences than the previous year.
Now if this was a true capitalist society and the BBC wasn't simply a propaganda tool used by the elites for whatever rubbish they want to have the public believe you would think, why aren't they a subscription service or have to display ads in the UK – you know like other similar services.
Also factor in the lavish website which can be used as a propaganda tool – don't worry we'll take a look at that in a recurring segment which of course is funded using this.
Also don't forget these rough incomes I found online
- Roughly £1.0bn comes from the BBC's commercial businesses
- Roughly £0.2bn comes from direct government grants, mostly from the FCO (the government department that protects British interests worldwide) for the running costs of the BBC World Service radio network
- Roughly £0.1bn from other areas
